Year 6 SATS reasoning tests are changing, and there’s a whole range of resources available, from text books to DofE papers to various companies producing tests. Ever heard of ‘Not as we know it*,’ ‘Puma’ or ‘Pixl?’
* Yes, really. Coming to a school near you, very soon.
It seems never ending, although like a lot of ‘educational initiatives,’ it’ll settle down sooner or later. In the meantime I thought I’d throw my hat into the ring, although in true 3minutemaths tradition, I couldn’t create anything other than a quick test.
The idea is to offer a Year 6 SATS reasoning tests that can be completed in around 10 minutes (possibly 3?) that is fairly representative of the kind of questions a student might be faced with.
I’m sure in a few years, they’ll be a whole bundle of these types of tests available, and they’ll be much better presented than mine. Although I did get here first. ish.
Here’s the papers and hope they help.
